The Role: Law Executive
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and opinions on corporate, administrative, and human resource matters.
- Vet legal documents and assist in the documentation of contracts and agreements.
- Assist in and vet investigation and disciplinary matters, including show cause notices.
- Support higher authorities of the bank in interpreting various statutes/laws to help frame policies.
- Advise on drafting circulars, directives, and documents to be issued by the bank.
- Assist in arranging the engagement of advocates based on their expertise and negotiate their professional fees.
- Vet documents, pleadings, and petitions prepared by outside counsel and liaise with them during litigation and other court proceedings.
- Provide legal services in all litigation-related matters pertaining to the bank.
- Advise on banking policy matters and the legal implications of circulars and guidelines issued by the bank.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Education: LLB from an HEC-recognized domestic or reputable foreign university.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant legal experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the legal departments of banks in Pakistan.
- Skills:
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Sound knowledge of laws related to banking and finance.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
