Job Description:

The Project Implementation Unit at Sindh Forensic Science Laboratory in Karachi is seeking applications from qualified individuals possessing Sindh domicile for appointment on a purely contract basis. The initial contract term may be extended further, contingent upon satisfactory performance, project needs, and approval for project extension.

Position Title:

Civil Engineer

Qualifications Required:

• Educational Requirements: Must hold a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Civil Engineering with a minimum 2nd Division from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized university or institute.
• Professional Registration: Must be registered as a professional engineer with the Pakistan Engineering Council.

Skills and Competencies:

Candidates will be evaluated during the interview for the following skills:

• Practical Construction Knowledge: Strong understanding and practical experience in civil construction.
• Government Construction Systems: Familiarity with government construction projects, including their systems, terminologies, and procedures.
• Site Availability: Willingness to remain available full-time at the project site located in District Malir, Link Road.

Experience Required:

• Relevant Experience: A minimum of five (05) years of relevant experience in building construction projects.
• Additional Experience: Experience in road construction, HVAC works, and MEP works will be considered advantageous. Experience with government infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Skills in Report Writing and Software: Proficiency in report writing, using MS Office, and recording construction activities/measurements on-site.

Age Limit:

Candidates should not exceed 45 years of age.
