With an annual revenue base of Rs. 482.431 billion, FESCO is seeking a dynamic personality to lead as the Director General of the Market Implementation & Regulatory Affairs Department (MIRAD).

Key Responsibilities:
The Director General will provide leadership and direction for the implementation of actions to develop a competitive electricity market in Pakistan. Responsibilities include:

• Handling bilateral power purchase contract agreements.
• Overseeing legal and regulatory affairs.
• Managing billing and settlements with the market operator.
• Conducting demand forecasting.
• Planning transmission operations.
• Acting as the interface between FESCO and the competitive trading bilateral contract market (CTBCM).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Law, or Management Sciences from an HEC-recognized university.
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 20 years of total experience, with at least 10 years in the power sector.
• Strong knowledge in technical, commercial, and financial matters related to the utility business and power sectors.
• Expertise in Market Implementation Regulatory Affairs and legal/contractual issues.
• Knowledge of competitive electricity markets is advantageous.

Age Limit:

• Candidates must be up to 55 years of age at the time of application.

Nature of Employment:

• The initial contract is for three (03) years, with annual performance evaluations conducted by the Board of Directors of FESCO.
• The position is not eligible for regularization or pension benefits.

Pay & Allowances:

• The role offers a market-based pay package with perks and privileges equivalent to BPS-20.
