Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Driver to join our Mobile Medical Camp initiative in various villages across Tharparkar, Umerkot, Badin, and Mirpurkhas districts. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of the medical team, equipment, and supplies to different villages for mobile medical camps. This role involves extensive travel to these villages, with approximately 70% of the time spent on the road and 30% in maintenance and administrative tasks.

Position Specification For FRDP NGO Sindh Jobs Online Apply:

Academic/Technical:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably in rural or remote areas.
  • Familiarity with the geography and road networks of Tharparkar, Umerkot, Badin, and Mirpurkhas districts.
  • Strong driving skills, including defensive driving techniques and vehicle maintenance knowledge.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Work Experience:

Must have at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Description of Responsibilities:

Vehicle Operation:

  • Safely operate and maintain the organization’s vehicle(s) used for transporting the medical team, equipment, and supplies to mobile medical camps in different villages.
  • Adhere to all traffic regulations and safety standards while driving and ensure the passengers’ comfort and security throughout the journey.
  • Plan efficient routes to reach designated villages, taking into account road conditions, weather, and other factors that may affect travel time.

Logistics Support:

  • Assist in loading and unloading medical equipment, supplies, and materials from the vehicle(s) before and after mobile medical camps.
  • Ensure that all equipment and supplies are securely fastened and properly stored in the vehicle(s) during transportation to prevent damage or loss.
  • Coordinate with the medical team and support staff to ensure timely arrivals and departures for mobile medical camps, maintaining effective communication throughout the journey.

Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Perform routine checks and inspections of the vehicle(s) before and after each trip to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Report any mechanical issues, damage, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel promptly and ensure timely repairs or servicing as required.
  • Keep the vehicle(s) clean, fueled, and properly maintained at all times, following organizational policies and procedures.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance activities, documenting them in the designated logbooks or electronic systems.
  • Assist in completing administrative tasks related to vehicle management, such as insurance renewals, vehicle registrations, and licensing requirements.
  • Provide support to the administrative team as needed, including running errands, delivering documents, and other duties as assigned.

Accountability:

Accountable as per the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities.

Working Conditions:

This position requires frequent travel to different villages in Tharparkar, Umerkot, Badin, and Mirpurkhas districts.

The role involves working in challenging environments with limited resources and infrastructure.

The Driver will be expected to adhere to all safety and security protocols during travel and mobile medical camp operations.
