Selection of Individual Consultants
The Government of Sindh, herein referred to as the Borrower, has secured financing from the International Development Association (IDA) (the Bank) in the form of a credit (referred to as Credit) to support the strengthening of the National Health Support Program in Sindh Province. The Project Director, Project Management Unit, National Health Support Program in Sindh, intends to use part of these funds to procure services of individual consultants under this project. The services will be contracted, and the specific details are as follows:
Consultant Position
Name of Post: Surveillance and Research Specialist (PPS-9)
Number of Positions: 01
Qualification:
- M.B.B.S with a Masters in Health Policy Management / Public Health / Epidemiology / Biostatistics
Experience & Skills:
- The candidate should have 10 years of relevant experience in health program development, research, and surveillance.
- Highly developed data analytical skills.
- Proficiency in using SPSS, SAS, STATA, or equivalent programs.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills with strong command over communication, report writing, and analytical abilities.
Application Process For Government Sindh Health Department Surveillance and Research Specialist Jobs
1. The Project Management Unit, National Health Support Program Sindh, now invites interested eligible individuals to express their interest in providing the aforementioned services. Eligibility criteria and Terms of Reference (TORs) are in accordance with World Bank Guidelines.
2. Interested applicants must submit their Expression of Interest (EOI)/applications along with their detailed updated Curriculum Vitae (CV). The CV should highlight qualifications and experience in carrying out similar assignments. Additionally, the application should include two passport-sized photographs, CNIC, degrees, and experience certificates. Submissions must be delivered in person or by registered mail to the mentioned address by 21st June 2024.
Only eligible shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.
Important Notes
- TA/DA: No TA/DA will be admissible to candidates attending the interview.
- Government Employees: Those already in government service may apply through the proper channel.

- Contract Details: The selected contract employee will be hired on a contract basis, with the possibility of an extension based on satisfactory performance.
