Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, is a renowned educational institution committed to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. This initiative is part of an HEC-funded project titled “Establishment of Business Incubation Center (BIC)” aimed at supporting startups and promoting a culture of innovation within the region. The positions available are purely temporary, contractual, and project-based for one year, extendable upon satisfactory performance till the completion of the project.
Available Positions
1. Director, Business Incubation Center
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Business Incubation Center.
- Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of incubation programs.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring efficient and effective services to incubatees.
- Foster a collaborative environment among startups, mentors, investors, and industry partners.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of startups and provide necessary guidance and support.
- Represent the BIC in various forums, promoting the center’s achievements and opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant postgraduate degree (preferably in business administration, management, or a related field).
- Extensive experience in business incubation, entrepreneurship development, or startup ecosystem management.
- Proven track record of leadership in a similar role.
- Strong networking skills and the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders.
2. Business Development Officer, Business Incubation Center
Role and Responsibilities:
- Identify and attract potential startups and entrepreneurs to join the incubation program.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to support the growth and success of incubatees.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges for startups.
- Assist startups in developing business plans, marketing strategies, and funding proposals.
- Organize events, workshops, and training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of incubatees.
- Build partnerships with investors, industry experts, and other stakeholders to provide additional support to startups.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant postgraduate degree (preferably in business administration, marketing, or a related field).
- Experience in business development, marketing, or startup support roles.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
3. Assistant Manager Incubation, Business Incubation Center
Role and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the overall management and administration of the Business Incubation Center.
- Support the implementation of incubation programs and services.
- Provide operational support to startups, including mentoring and advisory services.
- Monitor the performance of incubatees and report on their progress.
- Coordinate with various departments and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in organizing events, workshops, and other activities related to the incubation program.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant postgraduate degree (preferably in business administration, management, or a related field).
- Experience in program management, entrepreneurship support, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
