Available Positions

1. Deputy Director Planning & Development (Islamabad)

• Pay Scale: E-III
• Number of Posts: 01
• Eligibility Criteria:
  • 16 years of education in Engineering/Management/Sciences from an HEC-recognized University.
  • At least 7 years of proven post-qualification experience, preferably in project management and execution.
  • Experience in the public sector will be an added advantage.
  • Substantial record of writing PC-1s.
  • Must have excellent command over spoken and written English.
  • IT proficiency is a must.

2. Executive Secretary (Islamabad)

• Pay Scale: E-II
• Number of Posts: 01
• Eligibility Criteria:
  • Minimum 16 years of education (at least 2nd division/CGPA 2.5) from an HEC recognized University/Institution in Management Sciences/English/International Relations.
  • At least 7 years post-qualification relevant experience in multinational/national/government/semi-government/public/private organizations or universities.
  • Must have excellent command over spoken and written English.
  • IT proficiency is a must.

3. Admin Officer (Islamabad)

• Pay Scale: J-II
• Number of Posts: 03
• Eligibility Criteria:
  • At least 2nd Division Master’s degree in Public or Business Administration or Human Resource Management or equivalent from HEC recognized University/Institution OR Bachelor’s degree (at least 2nd Division) from HEC recognized University/Institution.
  • Three years post-qualification experience in administration (OR) 7 years post-qualification experience in administration.
  • The ability to maintain office filing systems and staff records is a must.
  • English language and IT proficiency are a must.

General Instructions

Please read the following instructions carefully before applying:

1. Age Limit: The age of superannuation is 60 years.
2. Current Employment: Applicants already working in government/semi-government service or autonomous bodies must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer at the time of the interview or earlier.
3. Non-Acceptable Experience: Part-time, honorary, visiting, apprenticeship, freelancing, and internship experience will not be considered. Only experience letters issued by the respective HR/Registrar Department will be accepted.
4. Shortlisting and Interview: Only eligible/shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.

6. Foreign Degrees: Candidates having foreign degrees must submit the equivalence certificate issued by HEC-Islamabad at the time of the interview.
7. Application Processing Fee: A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 3000/- (for Pay Scale E-III) and Rs. 1000/- (for Pay Scale J-II) should be paid before the submission of the online job application. The challan form is available on the website.
8. Multiple Posts: Candidates wishing to apply for more than one post must apply separately for each post.
9. Incomplete Applications: Applications with incomplete/fake information or without application processing fees will not be entertained.
10. Affidavit: Candidates shall sign an affidavit at the time of the interview stating that they are not dual nationals and will not keep a dual job in any manner if selected.
11. Medical Fitness: In case of selection/appointment, candidates must submit a medical fitness certificate, signed/stamped by a Medical Superintendent (MS) of any Civil/Government Hospital at the time of joining.
12. False Information: If any deficiency or false/incomplete information is provided by the candidate, their candidature will be canceled, or they will be terminated immediately at any stage.
13. Application Completion: Your application will not be considered submitted until you complete it by filling all mandatory fields and clicking the submit button at the last step.
14. Placement: Selected candidates may be posted at any campus/office of the Virtual University anywhere in Pakistan.
15. Travel Allowance: No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the test/interview.
16. Salary Deduction: Applicable taxes will be deducted from monthly salary as per rules.
17. Right to Reject: The Virtual University of Pakistan reserves the right to reject any or all applications at any stage without assigning any reason.
