We are recruiting for the position of Environment Manager, a critical role in ensuring that our operations adhere to environmental standards and contribute positively to the local community and ecosystem.

Position: Environment Manager

Department: Environment

Location: Reko Diq Mine Site – Balochistan

Qualification:

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• A postgraduate degree is preferable, showcasing advanced knowledge and expertise in environmental management.

Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental management is essential.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in resources or construction projects, demonstrating their ability to handle large-scale and complex environmental challenges.

Requirement:

• Proficiency in environmental management software.
• Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring thorough and precise management of environmental data and procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Overall Management: Oversee the environmental functions for the Reko Diq Mining Project. This includes the implementation and management of the site’s Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring it is in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
2. Development of Management Plans: Create and update environmental management plans and procedures that align with both national and international standards.
3. Training and Awareness: Develop and manage induction and awareness training programs for employees, contractors, and consultants. Ensure that the workforce is adequately briefed on environmental policies and procedures.
4. Data Management and Analysis: Manage the collection, collation, and analysis of environmental data using monitoring tools and software. This includes ensuring data accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements.
5. Environmental Monitoring: Conduct regular environmental monitoring and data collection activities, ensuring ongoing compliance with environmental standards.
6. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with the Project’s Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) and adhere to applicable national and local legislation. This includes managing all necessary environmental reporting requirements.
7. Community Engagement: Support the Community Relations team by integrating environmental considerations into community engagement initiatives. This includes facilitating communication and cooperation between the project and local stakeholders.
8. Budget and Reporting: Prepare and manage budgets related to environmental management. Handle internal and external reporting, including the preparation of presentations, minutes, and participation in strategy meetings.
9. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with various project stakeholders to communicate environmental management practices and address any concerns or issues that arise.
