Position: President/Chief Executive Officer
EXIM Bank seeks to appoint a highly qualified and experienced President/Chief Executive Officer to be based in Islamabad. Candidates who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Master’s or higher degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, or other related fields pertinent to the core operations of EXIM Bank, from an HEC-recognized local or foreign university/institution.
- A minimum of 20 years of experience in banking/finance, with at least five years in senior leadership roles within financial institutions. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in trade finance or those who have worked with an Export Credit Agency (ECA) or EXIM Bank.
- A solid understanding of ECA, local compliance, regulations for DFIs, EXIM Bank’s business model, products, and services is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Age range: 40 to 62 years.
Responsibilities and Competence

Appointment Details
The appointment will initially be for a term of three (3) years and is extendable by the provisions of section 15 of the Export-Import Bank of Pakistan Act and the Corporate Governance Regulatory Framework of the State Bank of Pakistan. The successful candidate will receive a remuneration package that reflects their level of skill and experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further processes.
