About SIDA

Responsibilities
The General Manager (Transition) will be responsible for:
- Organizational Change and Restructuring: Developing and implementing comprehensive plans to restructure and improve SIDA’s operations.
- Operational Efficiency: Enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of SIDA’s services.
- System Rehabilitation: Overseeing the rehabilitation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
- Flood Protection: Managing flood protection projects to safeguard agricultural and residential areas.
- Government Advisory: Advising the Sindh government on critical water management issues.
- Additional Duties: Performing other tasks as assigned by the authority.
Requirements For Govt Sindh Irrigation Department Jobs Online Apply
To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Social Science, Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering.
- Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience with a proven track record in leading large-scale organizational change programs in either the public or private sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in participatory irrigation management tools and techniques.
- Skills: Strong communication, public awareness, and social mobilization skills. Experience in project monitoring and evaluation. Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations related to irrigation and drainage sector reforms.
- Computer Literacy: Advanced computer application skills are essential.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English with excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Other Requirements
- Government Procedures: Familiarity with government procurement procedures and experience with donor-funded projects is preferred.
- Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 55 years. In exceptional cases, the selection committee may extend the age limit by up to 2 years.
- Domicile: Only candidates domiciled in Sindh Province, Pakistan will be considered.
- Current Employment: Candidates currently employed by the government or on project-based positions must apply through proper channels with a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
