1. Advocacy & Communication Officer

• Location: Central Pakistan-North Sindh Districts
• Base: Sukkur
• Role Overview: The Advocacy & Communication Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies to support polio eradication efforts. This role involves extensive interaction with local communities, stakeholders, and media to promote awareness and understanding of polio eradication initiatives.
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop communication materials and campaigns to educate the public about polio vaccination.
  • Engage with media and community leaders to promote polio eradication efforts.
  • Coordinate with local health departments to support vaccination campaigns.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies.
  • Report on communication activities and outcomes to project management.
• Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in advocacy and communication, preferably in health-related projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
  • Proficiency in local languages and cultural understanding.

2. Communication Response Officers (CROs)

• Locations:
  • Karachi (Three Vacancies)

  • Mirpurkhas/SBA (One Vacancy)
  • Larkana/Sukkur (One Vacancy)
• Role Overview: Communication Response Officers (CROs) will be responsible for managing communication and response activities related to polio eradication in their respective divisions. This includes engaging with communities, responding to concerns, and supporting vaccination efforts.
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate community outreach activities to promote polio vaccination.
  • Address community concerns and misconceptions about polio vaccines.
  • Work closely with local health officials and community leaders.
  • Provide support during vaccination campaigns, including logistics and coordination.
  • Collect and report data on vaccination coverage and community feedback.
• Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in community engagement or health communication.
