Job Title: Senior Project Manager (SPM)
Organization: Sindh Social Protection Authority (SSPA)
Department: Project Management & Implementation Unit (PM&IU), Strengthening Social Protection Delivery System in Sindh (SSPDSS)
Location: Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan
Contract Duration: Two years, with the possibility of extension subject to satisfactory performance.
Salary: Ph.D.: Rs. 157,000 – Rs. 208,000 per month; Master’s: Rs. 132,000 – Rs. 182,000 per month (as per the Sindh Management Position Scales Policy, 2022)
Age Limit: Maximum 65 years old
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Development Studies, Public Policy, Social Policy, Economic Development, Project Management, Public Administration, or a related field from a recognized university.
- A minimum of six years of experience for candidates with a Ph.D. or ten years of experience for candidates with a Master’s degree in project management, implementation, planning, and design of large-scale social sector development programs.
- Experience in developing annual plans and design documents such as working papers, concept notes, proposals, and terms of reference.
- Leading experience in public and/or private sector national or international organizations.
- Team building and organizational development skills.
Job Duties:
- Lead and oversee the overall operations of the project.
- Provide strategic direction to implementing partners, particularly the Health Department.
- Develop and update operations manuals, work plans, budgets, procurement plans, and monitoring and evaluation plans.
- Coordinate the timely submission of quarterly, biannual, and annual work plans and reports to the World Bank from implementing agencies.
- Report environmental and social incidents/accidents and grievances to the World Bank as per ESIRT guidelines.
- Oversee the monitoring progress on deliverables under procurement contracts.
- Provide feedback on deliverables and coordinate the work of consultants with the overall project plan.
- Ensure project implementation adheres to the requirements of the PC-I, operations manual, and World Bank guidelines.
